Develop, build and operate – that is what Wan Bridge does. Our communities and the residents that live in them mean everything to our team.
Despite last year being tough for everyone, both economically and personally, while dealing with the pandemic, the demand for single-family build-to-rent housing skyrocketed. Construction is considered essential, and our team did not slow down, working diligently over the past year to provide quality homes to families across Texas, while keeping the work-from-home situation in mind. In fact, Wan Bridge completed the construction of 300 homes in 2020 and leased them all.
While we look ahead for this year, we want to acknowledge some of our team’s great achievements last year, which include:
- Expanding our product line to include beach homes at our Palm Bay development;
- Reaching a total of 500 build-for-rent homes in the portfolio;
- Forming a partnership with top-tier master-planned community developer, Land Tejas, to build Clearwater at Balmoral; and
- Establishing relationships with leading institutional investors.
When looking back at the past year, Wan Bridge hit milestones in each month. Most importantly, we completed two communities, Mirror Lake and Bay Colony Pointe West, and announced two new developments, Clearwater at Balmoral and Palm Bay in Galveston. We also proudly supported our local community, donating PPE to frontline workers and first responders, and delivering meals to Memorial Hermann Hospital staff.
Over the course of 2021, Wan Bridge will endeavor to provide even stronger products tailored to our residents’ lifestyles, including more services and wellness components in addition to our existing outdoor spaces and maintenance/landscaping services. Our team is looking forward to building another 800 to 1,000 homes by the end of the year and will work to create houses and communities that residents can call home.
As for the build-to-rent industry, we expect 2021 to continue a trend of growth and development. BTR is a lifestyle decision, and an increasing number of people across Texas are choosing Wan Bridge communities so they can enjoy life to the fullest, spending more time with the people they love and partaking in activities they enjoy the most. Build-for-rent provides that every day.
Our mission for 2021 is to continue to set a high bar by constructing superior communities. We have high goals for 2021 and look forward to sharing more throughout the year!
