Vice President of Asset Management
In his role as Vice President of Asset Management, Yao oversees the performance and strategic growth of Wan Bridge’s build-to-rent portfolio. Based in the Houston headquarters, he leads initiatives that drive operational efficiency, strengthen investor alignment, and enhance the long-term value of each community. Through technology-driven analytics and cross-departmental collaboration, Yao ensures seamless integration between development, finance, and property management to support the company’s continued growth and innovation.
With extensive experience in finance and asset management, Yao brings a strong background in investment analysis, deal structuring, and performance reporting. Before assuming his current role, he served as Finance Director at Wan Bridge. Earlier in his career, he held key roles with leading single-family rental operators, including one of the nation’s largest SFR REITs, where he developed a passion for blending market insights with data-driven execution.
Yao holds a Master’s degree in Finance from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charterholder.
Committed to innovation and disciplined leadership, Yao plays a vital role in positioning Wan Bridge as a forward-thinking, technology-enabled real estate operator. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, reading about economics and technology, and exploring great coffee and tea spots wherever he travels.
